We turn emerging science into reality.
Frontier AI models already exist. ASIZ puts them to work as a scientific instrument — designing the experiments that test the theories behind emerging technologies, then partnering with researchers to make them real.
Frontier models already exist. We put them to work.
The race to build powerful AI has largely been won. The harder, more valuable question is what we do with it — and almost no one is pointing it squarely at the bottlenecks of emerging science.
ASIZ uses frontier models as a research instrument: to read the literature, generate testable hypotheses, and design the experiments that move an emerging technology from "theoretically possible" to "demonstrated." Then we hand the highest-value experiments to the researchers and labs best equipped to run them.
We don't build the models. We build the experiments — and the bridges to the people who can make them real.
Seven centers. One method.
Our research is organized into centers, each aiming the discovery loop at a family of emerging technologies — and tagged by the horizon on which they become reachable.
Computational Discovery
The engine: AI that designs experiments, runs autonomous labs, and builds foundation models of science itself.
Energy & Fusion
Closing the loop on fusion, space-based solar, and artificial photosynthesis — abundant clean power.
Living Systems
Synthetic biology, regenerative and nano-medicine, and the engineering of aging as a solvable problem.
Autonomy & Robotics
Embodied AI, humanoid and nanoscale robotics, and swarm systems that act in the physical world.
Matter & Materials
Programmable matter, room-temperature superconductors, and nanomaterials designed atom-up.
Space Systems
Advanced propulsion, asteroid resources, and self-sustaining habitats for a multi-planet civilization.
Mind & Neurotechnology
Brain–computer interfaces, neuroprosthetics, and the exocortex — extending and restoring cognition.
The experiments that change
what is possible — designed by AI,
realized by people.
Most emerging technologies don't fail for lack of imagination. They fail in the long, expensive gap between a promising theory and a decisive experiment. ASIZ exists to close that gap.
α → ζ: when the frontier becomes reachable.
The four horizons are our time-axis — when AI-accelerated research can plausibly carry each class of emerging technology from theory to reality. Every program is tagged to a horizon.
Foundations
Today's AI and the first capable robots — plus the discovery engine itself: AI that designs and runs experiments.
Automation & abundance
Services run themselves; fusion pilots, robotic medicine, and engineered food come within reach.
Generalization
General intelligence makes the hardest sciences tractable — molecular manufacturing, longevity, nanorobotics.
Ascension
Superintelligence opens stellar-scale energy, space settlement, and planetary engineering.
Built to be shared.
Everything we produce that doesn't endanger anyone is released openly — so progress compounds beyond our own walls.
Datasets & atlases
Open datasets and simulation atlases generated by every experiment we run.
Models & code
Reproducible pipelines, analysis code, and released model weights for every result.
Experiment protocols
AI-designed protocols any qualified lab can run, replicate, and extend.
Have a theory worth testing?
We work with universities, labs, and funders across every domain of the frontier. Bring a theory that needs an experiment, or a lab that can run one.
